The Rules of the Trail (Terms of Service)
Welcome to The Alpine Paw. Every great adventure in the wild requires a few ground rules to keep everyone safe. By visiting our site or picking up some gear from us, you agree to follow our "Rules of the Trail" (Terms of Service). Please read them carefully before we set off.
1. Who Can Join the Expedition (General Conditions) We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone, at any time. Just like a seasoned explorer on a trail, we ask that you respect the environment. You agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, or resell any part of our Service without our express written permission.
2. Foraging and Sourcing (Product Presentation) Like an expert tracker, we spend hundreds of hours seeking out the best premium pet essentials globally. While we carefully hand-assemble and curate these items in our Auckland studio, we are not the original manufacturer of all component materials. We’ve done our best to display the true colors of our gear, but we can't guarantee your computer monitor won't play tricks on your eyes. Prices and gear availability may change without notice as the seasons shift.
3. The Provisions (Payments & Third-Party Providers) We may offer third-party payment trails (like Afterpay, Zip, or Stripe) to make your checkout smoother. We don't control these platforms. You acknowledge that we provide access to these tools ”as is”. Using these third-party payment provisions is entirely at your own risk.
4. Fetching the Right Details (Accuracy of Information) Please make sure your shipping and billing details are as accurate as a compass. We reserve the right to cancel orders if the information looks suspicious. If we need to change or cancel your order, we will try to signal you via the email or phone number provided at checkout.
5. Marking Our Territory (Intellectual Property) All content on this site—our slogan "A brief, beautiful life deserves the finest gear.", our logos, product photography, and text—is our marked territory. It is the property of The Alpine Paw and is protected by New Zealand and international copyright laws. Please do not copy or reproduce our digital assets.
6. The Wild is Unpredictable (Limitation of Liability) Please read this carefully, pet parents. While our gear is built for the wild and selected for rugged durability, no pet product is truly indestructible. Pets are beautifully unpredictable animals. A determined pet can damage even the toughest materials.
By purchasing from The Alpine Paw, you acknowledge that it is the owner's sole responsibility to inspect the gear regularly for signs of wear and tear, and to ensure it is suitable for your specific pet's size, strength, and behavioral quirks.
In no event shall The Alpine Paw, our directors, employees, or suppliers be liable for any injury, loss, claim, or any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages of any kind—including, without limitation, veterinary bills, property damage, or personal injury—arising from your use of our gear. Our maximum liability to you under all circumstances will be strictly limited to the purchase price of the item.
7. The Law of the Land (Governing Law) These rules are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand, including the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986.
